Our June trip was to Kauai. We stayed at the Waimea Plantation Cottages. This is a great "local style" place - very laid back. The resort is part of an old sugar plantation consisting of 26 ocean-front acres with 56 cottages. The cottages belonged to the workers and have been refurbished with modern kitchens and baths. But they retain their 1930's feel of old Hawaii.
